What is the Spider-Verse watch order?

Release order is the only order that matters:

  1. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
  2. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023)
  3. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse (forthcoming)

Across ends on a cliffhanger; do not treat it as a standalone if you want Miles and Gwen’s arc intact.

Do I need the live-action MCU or Maguire/Garfield films?

No. Spider-Verse is its own multiverse comedy-drama. Cameo recognition helps Easter eggs; it is not required for plot. Skip No Way Home homework unless you simply want more Spider-Man that week.

Can I start with Across the Spider-Verse?

You can, but you will miss why Miles’s choices hurt. Into establishes the “anyone can wear the mask” thesis and the Spider-Gang chemistry that Across spends two hours stress-testing.

Where should I watch next?
