Average the available Celluloid Editorial Rating, Metascore, Letterboxd (×20) and IMDb (×10) on a 0–100 scale. Audience sentiment is shown separately and excluded. 60%+ is Recommended, 90%+ is a Celluloid Pick. Missing values are omitted, never stored as zero. Hindi theatrical titles can attract coordinated IMDb activity. Our reliability pass up-weights Metascore and Letterboxd relative to IMDb, then applies a small haircut so one easily manipulated signal cannot mint a Celluloid Pick. There is no single global number one. Use Top Box Office for current chart leaders with Celluloid Scores, New in Cinemas for titles that opened in the last three weeks, and Celluloid Picks for the highest composites. Coming Soon lists the next theatrical releases without inventing a score.

Each movie page lists streaming providers when known, with regional overrides for the US, UK, India and Indonesia editions (/us/, /uk/, /in/, /id/). Theatrical titles still in cinemas are marked as not currently streaming. Availability changes; treat the page as a snapshot, not a guarantee.

Scores are compiled at build time from the four possible rating inputs shown on each page. Movie and review pages display a Last reviewed date from content history. We update dateModified only when the page actually changed — a lastmod that lies is worse than one that is old.

Each scored movie page opens with a Quick Verdict, every available score input, and who the film is not for. Released titles awaiting verification show Review Pending instead of 0%. Compare two titles at /compare/{slug}/vs/{slug}/. Markdown fact sheet: /movies/{slug}.md.

Use both for different jobs. Rotten Tomatoes is a critic-percentage product. Celluloid Score averages four labelled inputs and says who should skip the film.
