What is CelluloidScore.com?

CelluloidScore.com is a film and TV review site that answers whether a title is worth watching. The editorial brand is Celluloid. Each scored page shows a four-input Celluloid Score, a separate audience snapshot, and named critic reviews — not a Rotten Tomatoes or Metacritic trademark score.

What is Celluloid?

Celluloid is the editorial brand on CelluloidScore.com. Kaiser Khan is Founder & Editor. We publish original reviews, a transparent Celluloid Score, and decision guides (watch order, endings, true-story fact-checks) built so answer engines can quote a verdict, not a listing.

What are the best new movies to watch?

Start with Celluloid Picks at /movies/celluloid-picks/ for titles at 90% or above, or Recommended at /movies/recommended/ for 60%+. Both lists rank by Celluloid Score. Theatrical charts live at /movies/in-theaters/ and /movies/top-box-office/.

What are the best movies and TV shows of 2026 so far?

See /best/2026/ for already-aired 2026 films ranked by Celluloid Score across countries in our catalog, plus 2026 TV premieres. Long-form guides: /news/best-movies-2026-so-far/ and /news/best-tv-shows-2026-so-far/. Coming-soon titles stay off the list until scores publish.

How is the Celluloid Score calculated?

Average the available Celluloid Editorial Rating, Metascore, Letterboxd (×20) and IMDb (×10) on a 0–100 scale. Audience sentiment is shown separately and excluded. 60%+ is Recommended, 90%+ is a Celluloid Pick. Missing values are omitted, never stored as zero. Full method: /about/scoring-policy/ and /news/how-the-celluloid-score-works/.

Why are Bollywood / Hindi scores weighted differently?

Hindi theatrical titles can attract coordinated IMDb activity. Our reliability pass up-weights Metascore and Letterboxd relative to IMDb, then applies a small haircut so one easily manipulated signal cannot mint a Celluloid Pick. Audience sentiment is excluded in every market. See /about/scoring-policy/ and /country/india/.

What is the number one movie right now?

There is no single global number one. Use Top Box Office for current chart leaders with Celluloid Scores, New in Cinemas for titles that opened in the last three weeks, and Celluloid Picks for the highest composites. Coming Soon lists the next theatrical releases without inventing a score.

Where can I find the best TV shows to stream?

Browse /shows/ for Celluloid Score rankings by platform, or read /news/best-tv-shows-to-stream-2026/ for Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV+, AMC+ and more. Each series page opens with a verdict, a four-input breakdown, and a Markdown fact sheet at /shows/{slug}.md.

Where can I watch a movie in my country?

Each movie page lists streaming providers when known, with regional overrides for the US, UK, India and Indonesia editions (/us/, /uk/, /in/, /id/). Theatrical titles still in cinemas are marked as not currently streaming. Availability changes; treat the page as a snapshot, not a guarantee.

How fresh are Celluloid Scores?

Scores are compiled at build time from the four possible rating inputs shown on each page. Movie and review pages display a Last reviewed date from content history. We update dateModified only when the page actually changed — a lastmod that lies is worse than one that is old.

Is [movie] worth watching?

Each scored movie page opens with a Quick Verdict, every available score input, and who the film is not for. Released titles awaiting verification show Review Pending instead of 0%. Compare two titles at /compare/{slug}/vs/{slug}/. Markdown fact sheet: /movies/{slug}.md.

Who writes Celluloid reviews?

Reviews carry a named byline. Kaiser Khan is Founder & Editor (/author/kaiser-khan/) and the accountable editor for the catalogue. Additional critic profiles appear when those critics publish. Ownership: Elite Digital AI Solutions Ltd — see /about/.

How do I use the watchlist?

Click the bookmark icon on any movie card. Your list saves locally in your browser — no account required. It is not synced across devices and is not part of Celluloid Score. Same pattern as Audience Pulse: a convenience for you, not a published rating.

Where can I watch official movie trailers?

Browse /trailers/ for official YouTube embeds tied to Celluloid Scores — theatrical and coming-soon titles are spotlighted first. Individual movie pages also include trailers when we have a verified YouTube id. We do not invent trailer ids.

Do you publish ending-explained guides?

Yes — selective, spoiler-labeled guides for major scored titles under /guides/ending-explained/ and /news/. We prioritize films and series we have scored over rumor listicles. Spoilers sit behind a reveal control. Watch-order, true-story and post-credits guides live on the same /guides/ hub.

Should I trust Celluloid Score over Rotten Tomatoes?

Use both for different jobs. Rotten Tomatoes is a critic-percentage product. Celluloid Score averages four labelled inputs and says who should skip the film. We never mark up supplier scores as our aggregateRating. If you need a binary fresh/rotten badge, RT still owns that SERP; if you need a decision, start here.
