What is The Sheep Detectives about?

In the English village of Denbrook, shepherd George Hardy (Hugh Jackman) reads murder mysteries aloud to his flock every night — unaware the sheep understand every clue. When George is found poisoned, the herd launches its own investigation while the town's only policeman and a suspicious reporter chase human suspects. Kyle Balda's live-action debut (from a Craig Mazin screenplay of Leonie Swann's novel) mixes pastoral comedy with a genuine whodunit the sheep refuse to forget.
